ROHINGYAS,  forgotten people

THE ROHINGYA PEOPLE NEED YOU !

A forgotten people forced into exodus, the Rohingyas now depend solely on humanitarian aid for their survival.

In August 2017, following ethnic violence targeting Burma’s Rohingya minority, more than 700,000 of them had to abandon everything to embark on a chaotic exodus to Bangladesh to flee death.

Despite constant appeals and pleas to the international community to defend their fundamental rights, the Rohingya people continue to be ignored by the world.

In 2024, over a million Rohingyas survive in the world’s largest refugee camp, Kutupalong.

Confronted for months with violent monsoon rains and fires that regularly ravage their fragile shelters of twine and bamboo, the Rohingyas need us…

Deprived of existence and sustenance, without nationality and with no hope of returning to their homeland, the Rohingya people depend exclusively on humanitarian aid to survive.

WASH

As an indispensable source of life, access to drinking water for the Rohingyas is at the heart of our concerns.

In the Kutupalong camp, almost half the wells have broken down.

That’s why UTO has implemented an innovative approach to guarantee long-term access to drinking water.

CONSTRUCTION

Violent monsoons, intense heat, the Rohingya people are not spared by the climatic conditions.

The makeshift bamboo constructions are subject to these hazards and require constant repair.

Thanks to our construction expertise, we are able to monitor and repair the shelters.

EDUCATION

Because education is one of the greatest riches we can pass on to our children, UTO has set up a number of initiatives to provide an inspiring education for the 400,000 refugee children in Kutupalong.

Together, let’s build a future for these children!
